Sorry, I mean, do you want to change or add to the values prescribed
by the LoC for USMARC records, or do you want to add a circulation
modifier called "book".  And what purpose do you want this to serve?
MARC item types (those actually in the marc records) can be used to
limit searches, but circulation modifiers simply allow special cases
for choosing circ rules.  If you just need to know if the MARC claims
to be for a BKS type record, then you can do that in the scripts
already, or just use the MARC Form (called item_form) in your
circulation config.
