[OPEN-ILS-DEV] unable to check out items

Hey folks,

Karen Foster here at McMaster has made some bibs with associated items, but
when she tries to check out an item she gets the following error:

Network/server failure.  Please check your Internet connection to
evergreen.lib.mcmaster.ca and choose Retry Network.  If you need to
enter Offline Mode, choose Ignore Errors in this and subsequent
dialogs.  If you believe this error is due to a bug in Evergreen and
not network problems, please contact your helpdesk or friendly
Evergreen admins, and give them this information:
method=open-ils.circ.checkout.permit
params=["c075de84aeed8d33876645a9c08cd275",{"barcode":"39005020027771","patron":2},0]
THROWN:
null
STATUS:


click on retry network gets same message above

click on ignore errors gets:

Check out failed
There was a network failure.



Any ideas?
