Take a look at your circ_duation.js file.  If it has isGroupDescendent
tests in there for profiles that don't actually exist in your
permission group tree, then the older version of isGroupDescendent
will cause an error.  These files are meant to be edited to suit your
circ policies, and the one you have might be from the old Evergreen/
directory, which has PINES specific customizations (the trunk/1.4
branch of Evergreen has moved these out of the way, and the PINES
examples are now in the ILS-Contrib repository).
