[OPEN-ILS-DEV] problem with evergreen services after crash and reboot

Hello list

After initially having everything running, our tester found a few errors in the menus available via the staff client. One of those was due to a symlink of an xml file in the web directory not being followed.
All I changed was adding the FollowSymlinks option to the web root of the apache virtual host configuration.

After that, trying to reproduce one error (opening the MARC input) resulted in a massive explosion of CPU load and a system crash. I rebooted, started everything up again and now I can not authenticate with the staff client or the command line opensrf client.

I followed the troubleshooting page

	http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:checking_for_errors

... and I encountered no errors except one:

The private router log says:

router 2009-08-25 09:59:07 [WARN:15520:transport_session.c:412:] Received <stream:error> message from Jabber server
router 2009-08-25 09:59:07 [WARN:15520:transport_session.c:631:] ERROR XML fragment: Replaced by new connection</text></stream:error></stream:stream>

... and the ejabberd log says

=INFO REPORT==== 2009-08-25 09:59:07 ===
I(<0.1330.0>:ejabberd_c2s:1183): (#Port<0.1153>) Replaced session for router at devevergreen.iisg.nl/router

(devevergreen.iisg.nl is configured as my host instead of localhost)

All other services start clean without errors, and autogen.sh and settings tester run without problems.

I have taken out the FollowSymlinks option from the vhost configuration, now everything is back to _exactly_ the state of configuration I had when things were working.

Can anyone shed light on this?

Thank's in advance
