[OPEN-ILS-DEV] upgrading postgresql 8.2 to 8.3 with Evergreen database

Hi all,

I have been working on upgrading postgresql 8.2 to 8.3 on our test server but have not been able to successfully migrate the evergreen data after the upgrade using the postgresql standard dump_all routine recommended here: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.3/static/install-upgrading.html .

When trying to restore the data a number of errors occur. One of the first is "tsvector is only a shell:" which I believe is related to the tsearch add on. I also get thousands of "Invalid Command" errors in the output when trying to restore. Has anyone successfully upgraded from 8.2 to 8.3 on an existing system who could share any insights or tips? I've tried a number of alternatives such as restoring scheme only and then data only as well as using a number of different dump_all command line options.  I've been scanning the postgresql lists and site, but haven't been able to come up with anything to work with our data.
