Hi,
Dan speaks the truth.  Go to the troubleshooting page.

But the pertinent bits for 1.6.0.4 seem to be the following.

- Shut everything down again
- make sure the services have been killed
- the start_all and stop_all scripts seem to be causing issues again so
shut down router,perl and c as the opensrf user one at a time.

Move /openils/var/log/* .../old  seems to important during this step for
more than just 'clean' logs.

Start ejabberd and memcached as root again, su - opensrf and start
router/perl/c one at a time.  If you get an 'already running' error
there's still a process or lockfile hanging around.
