[OPEN-ILS-DEV] 1.4.0.4 -> 1.6.0.3 not a smooth upgrade: not seeing copy summaries

I'm trying to upgrade 1.4.0.4 up to 1.6.0.3 and I have to admit, it's been a bumpy ride. I have had some success in getting things going, but I'm currently seeing an odd behavior: 

If I use a web browser and search for a book and pull the book up, I see all the information for the book, but no copy summary or shelf browser information. This leads me to believe that the database upgrade scripts, i.e.

> psql -U evergreen -h localhost -f Open-ILS/src/sql/Pg/1.4.0.5-1.6.0.0-upgrade-db.sql evergreen
> psql -U evergreen -h localhost -f Open-ILS/src/sql/Pg/1.6.0.0-1.6.0.1-upgrade-db.sql evergreen
> psql -U evergreen -h localhost -f Open-ILS/src/sql/Pg/1.6.0.1-1.6.0.2-upgrade-db.sql evergreen

on the upgrade web page didn't work. I did get some errors, but had no idea how to work around them. Perhaps this was a poor upgrade path, but the web page (http://www.open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=upgrading:evergreen:1.4_to_1.6 ) made no mention of problems going from 1.4.0.4 to 1.6.0.3. 

I'm about to start installing a staff client and seeing if anything shows up there, but I'm assuming it will not. I have backups aplenty of my Postgres databases, but they are all in the 1.4.0.4 format. I'm appreciate some hints as how to go forward.
