Dan, this is a *great list* of projects not only for Summer of Code but for any library with some funds available and an enterprising view on worthwile investments. Maybe this list should be a lightning talk at the conference, perhaps with a little bit of "auctioneering" type encouragement to the "investors" in the audience.

Jason / Dan: regarding "Replace remote XUL in the staff client " -- I'm trying to understand role of XUL vs. Dojo. Dojo is currently used to extend and enhance XUL functionality - correct? -- but would/could we ever move to purely Dojo-based interface? I assume XUL performs a lot of heavy lifting that Dojo or other framework couldn't do for us?

Thanks

Sweet! I've thrown together a stub of a page with some stubby ideas at http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=dev:summer_of_coding_ideas
- please feel free to edit/embellish/add more ideas. (And everybody else - if you have ideas about something that would make a good summer programming project for a student, please speak up!)
