Good morning,

In June, the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI) completed an
accessibility audit on the Evergreen web client, at the request of PINES.
The resulting report and findings were approved to be shared widely. The
Evergreen Project Board deemed it beneficial to share the results here on
the community listservs, to raise awareness of the audit and to bring
attention to the issues raised in the hope that others may be able to work
on remediating these issues.

There is now a section on the Evergreen wiki dedicated to accessibility:
https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=accessibility:home where you can
find the results of the audit, as well as a walk-through video showing the
different trouble spots.

Additionally, I have begun opening Launchpad bugs for the issues reported
in the audit. Many of the reported issues are small but important fixes, so
we hope that the community will be able to turn its attention to these to
increase the accessibility of Evergreen.

You can find a list of all bugs tagged with "accessibility", sorted by last
updated, here
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bugs?field.tag=accessibility&orderby=-date_last_updated&start=0>
.

If there are any questions about the audit or its subsequent bug reports,
I'm happy to answer whatever I can.

Thanks!
