[OPEN-ILS-DOCUMENTATION] Progress on reintegrating older missing docs

Hi Remington,
I would find it useful. I think it would provide a good way for multiple
people to review those docs rather than just putting it on one person.
Yes, I'm actively using git, but I think there are just a few of us who
are doing so.
