[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Playing around with staff client

Hi Ceil,

If you previously installed a staff client, and want to install the new
one, you must delete the file "ws_info", located in Program
Files\Evergreen Staff Client\chrome\open_ils_staff_client\content\conf\
directory.

An easier way to accomplish the same thing is to simply delete the
entire "Evergreen Staff Client" before installing the new staff client,
but it sounds like you have already installed and therefore would just
need to delete the ws_info file.

Please let me know at kgregory at georgialibraries.org if you need further
assistance with this.

Thanks,
Katherine

I have been trying to get into the staff client, but I keep getting an
error box up that says "1520 : undefined". I've double-checked my login
and password, and as far as I can tell, I'm entering the info correctly.
Any ideas?

I was doing some playing around with the staff client today and I
have some questions. I'm trying to understand the holds behavior. I
logged in as arl-ath-demo-staff and created a patron record for myself.

I then proceeded to place holds on items that should be in that branch.

Is the system setup to not allow holds on items that are at a patron's
home library? I am wondering that because the items haven't shown up on

"Evergreen Holds Pull List : Athens-Clarke County Library". When is
that list generated?
Also, what does "capture holds" do? Is that for items that are
pulled from the shelf? Why not just use the check in interface if that
is the case? I'll try and answer my own question about the holds
behavior by placing some holds with a user from a different branch.
Josh
