Thanks for the feedback, Joh. It's very weird. I wonder if just
running "touch /openils/conf/opensrf.xml" would work - as an awful
hack, I could patch that into osrf_ctl.sh. It's bizarre that
everything else specified in opensrf.xml works for you except for
z39.50.

It would be nice to hear from Kevin, the original reporter of the bug,
whether "touch /openils/conf/opensrf.xml" fixes his problem as well.
If so, then I'll include the awful hack in the next iteration of the
image.

I'm in the process of updating the Gentoo image to use EG 1.1.5,
PostgreSQL 8.2.4, and kernel 2.6.20. Hopefully I'll be able to upload
it early next week.
