Qualifications
Computer Skills:
Experience with library automation systems and related technologies
Understanding of software design and development for library applications
Extensive knowledge of public library operations
Other Skills and Abilities:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize many demands in a fast moving and constantly changing
environment
Job Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing project management of the Evergreen software development project
Plans for and implements major software upgrades and new software releases
Organizes and facilitates Evergreen planning sessions with team members from
multiple partner institutions and Evergreen community members to analyze
requirements and design systems
Serves as liaison and facilitates communications between the Evergreen
development team and PINES member libraries
Analyzes and synthesizes input from libraries regarding enhancements, module
design, feature requests, etc.
Collaborates with the QA Engineer in the creation of test documents and
scenarios
Plans and presents training programs on new modules and/or features
Writes for professional library and/or technical journals
