Started doing an install and was able to get the OpenSRF 1.0.6 (see notes at end) up and running on a CentOS 5.3 (64 bit) machine. But when I try to do the configure for Evergreen-ILS 1.4.0.4 I get :

configure: error: *** OpenILS requires libreadline
I had to make a couple changes to the configure file to get this far (CentOS uses apxs not apxs2 and apr-1-config not apr-config).
Via yum I have the following installed.
compat-readline43.x86_64 4.3-3 installed
perl-Term-ReadLine-Gnu.x86_64 1.17a-2.el5 installed
php-readline.x86_64 5.1.6-15.el5.centos.1 installed
readline.i386 5.1-1.1 installed
readline.x86_64 5.1-1.1 installed
readline-devel.i386 5.1-1.1 installed
readline-devel.x86_64 5.1-1.1 installed
And not installed
mingw32-readline.noarch 5.2-4.el5 epel
I also downloaded and install readline 6.0 with the same results. When I removed the readline files from the configure file to see if anything else would cause problems I received a message about OpenILS requires libperl-dev (not a yum install option in CentOS). After removing that I didn't receive any other errors.
Does anybody have some things that I could try to get configure to work.
Thanks
