[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] staff accountability in Evergreen - information request

Hello all,
In PINES we often answer the need for libraries to know the details about staff actions in Evergreen, either to clarify confusion about what at first seems to be a software error, or to assist library administrators in disciplinary actions, etc. Basically there is a need to know the facts about what library staff do within the system and when. This is recorded in Evergreen in two places: Linux logs and database records. Typically library staff do not have direct access to either, and PINES is wanting to know what other Evergreen user agencies are doing to accommodate these sorts of requests in their systems. Clearly this is an area that needs some software development to truly meet our needs, but in the meantime we're looking to develop reports templates that track staff activity, as well as easier ways for PINES/GPLS staff to access the information held in the logs.
Would anyone be able to share what they are doing in this respect?
Thanks,
Chris Sharp
