>configure: error: *** OpenILS requires libpq help

This is a dependency error, meaning libpq (there is probably more
information provided that you're listing here - I might be wrong) is not
installed or not installed in a place where the configure script can
find it.

>opensrf at leoni-desktop:~/Evergreen-ILS-1.4.0.1$ ./configure
--prefix=3D/opeils --sysconfdir=3D/openils/conf
>./configure: line 1618: config.log: Permission denied
>./configure: line 1628: config.log: Permission denied
>opensrf at leoni-desktop:~/Evergreen-ILS-1.4.0.1$ make
>make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

It looks like the opensrf user is not the owner of the config.log file
that the configure script needs to access. There should be a step in
the installation instructions where you "chown -R opensrf:opensrf
/openils/." Also if this is what you actually entered - there's a typo
- "opeils" should be "openils."

>/etc/init.d/postgre/8.2 restart
>bash: /etc/init.d/postgre - 8.2: No such file or directory

=20

If you do the command "ls /etc/init.d/" you will see that the error
message is correct in that there is no "postgre" directory. The correct
command should be "/etc/init.d/postgresql-8.2 restart"

Please respond to Open-ILS-Dev, but good luck with your installation.
:-)
