[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Bad image for book! How to remove?

Vicki,

You will occasionally run into this problem whichever vendor you use for cover art since they tie it to the ISBN. If it is not a problem where your added content vendor has the incorrect ISBN, you can sometimes correct it in the MARC record. As Brian said, publishers re-use the same ISBN or they put the wrong ISBN in or on the item. We had the latter problem recently where a book on ticks that was part of a children's series on harmful insects had the same ISBN on the verso of the title page as another book in the series. I added the ISBN from the publishers website listed for the book as the first 020 (retaining the other with a subfield z since it was on the piece). That triggered the correct image.

I checked, and the wrong image appears on Amazon's website. I've
reported it. We'll see how quickly it gets fixed.

I'm interested in learning more about what will need to change to keep
it working past the middle of August. This is something that our
directors really like, so I would really like to see this continue
working.
