Hi All

 

PTFS, a library support company,  is looking for someone to act as an Evergreen system administrator who is available for a 4-6 month assignment in southern New England

Our company has been working with libraries for 14 years, offering library staffing, ILS support, and a digital content software called ArchivalWare. We have an urgent need for someone in the Connecticut area with a library or IT background, interested in assisting with the development and support of an Evergreen OS ILS.  This position requires experience or the willingness to quickly gain experience in the following areas:

Linux Platform and administration (specifically Debian); PostgreSQL database knowledge (Postcript (SQL Syntax); Apache administration; Javascript; XHTML and HTML; Perl Template Toolkit; OpenSRF framework and Ejabberd

A portion of the work would be performed in the southern New England area.  However not all of the work would have to be performed on site, some could be performed off site.  The contract would be for 4-6 months. Again, I want to emphasize that only some of the work needs to be done on site.
