Raymond,
I went back through your messages (I am very far behind on my lists) and think the reason you have had so few answers is that we just don't know where to start. I did look at your first question when it came through and knew I could not answer in a single email. It appears from your questions that an answer would need to explain MARC formats as well as cataloging rules -- and that is not possible over email. I apologize if I am misunderstanding; but, it sounds as though your staff needs very basic training in cataloging before they can begin to either enter records into your bibliographic database or find a vendor as a source.
Were your libraries automated before Evergreen? Is so, were they using MARC records? Do they or the school systems have trained catalogers on staff? If you do have catalogers on staff, I may be able to answer some of their questions about the functionality of the cataloging module.

Subject: Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Phone Conference for Evergreen Users
As a newbie I was hoping to get my questions answered on this list, but
have not gotten a response yet. Is it possible they will discuss the
basics of populating an Evergreen system with bib records, etc... during
the conference?
