A better long-term solution might be to write a new added content
driver that serves locally managed content (primarily, I would wager,
cover art). Take a look at
http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS/browser/trunk/Open-ILS/src/perlmods/OpenILS/WWW/AddedContent/ to see the current added content
drivers.
