[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Question about grace periods and hold shelf expiration date

Hi all,

We've come across a couple of questions while we have been exploring
circulation options in Evergreen. Where is the grace period for fines set?
Can different grace periods be used for different libraries at the system
level? Can you set a different grace period for specific circulation
modifiers?

Also, when notifying patrons that a hold is available, we wanted to include
a holds shelf expiration date so that they know how long they have to pick
up the item. For example, if the hold became available on July 12, the holds
shelf expiration date may be July 17, giving the patron five days to pick
the item up. I had seen mention of a "shelf expire time" in the IRC chat
logs, but I don't see this field in the database or a place where we could
set a holds shelf expiration date. Is anyone else using a holds shelf
expiration date?

Thanks in advance for your help!
