I think it's a reasonable user expectation to have the last few versions listed. It would be scary to librarians who may have gone live on a 2.0.1 version to no longer see the download link.

I can see two ways to approach this issue:

1) We continue to post links for staff client versions that we know are still in use by Evergreen-using libraries (this would also mean a revival on the page of the 1.4.0.7 and 1.6.0 staff client versions).

2) We have an "older versions" page that keeps all links to clients (and server releases for that matter) that still exist on the server.

I think #1 would require us to know more about Evergreen's user agencies than we have the means to know at this point. The Communications/Web Team was (and presumably *is*) working on a directory of user agencies that might inform the community about who's on which version, but since the agencies themselves would maintain those listings, they would go stale very quickly.

So what would others in the community think about option #2? It seems to be a common practice in free/open source projects to maintain a software archive of all versions of the software, whether supported or not. I would be willing to help create such a page if there is interest.

Thanks,

Chris
