Your report seems to have two contradictory elements re: edi_pusher.pl.

The former works, but the latter doesn't?  What's the difference?

Can you try killing the EDI processes and running it backgrounded,
like: "./edi_webrick.bash
&"

It seems like everything was fine until step 3, except you expected a prompt
back.  ^^ that would do it.
