[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Evergreen on Ubuntu 11.04 + Comments on using Evergreen for only cataloging only?

   This is just a quick FYI for anyone curious if Evergreen runs on this 
version.   I've installed using the "ubuntu-lucid" (AKA: Ubuntu 10.04) 
makefile target.

   The only thing that didn't immediately work as documented was that 
Ubuntu 11.04 installs xulrunner-2.0 by default, and the staff client 
requires  xulrunner-1.9.2 to be installed and used instead.


   Where I work ( Canadiana.org ) is investigating using Evergreen as a 
substitute to our current usage of Inmagic DB/TextWork.   We are 
primarily using the software to manage catalogs for a variety of 
purposes (including uploading to 
http://www.canadiana.ca/en/content/marc-files for others to be aware of 
what we are making available online).

   My background is as a system administrator, not a librarian, so any 
comments on this type of usage would be appreciated.
