The Pennsylvania Integrated Library System, (PaILS) has released a Request
for Proposals for hosting SPARK, its open-source Evergreen ILS.
PaILS seeks an organization with previous experience and proven capacity to
provide migration, support, and hosting services for its Evergreen
implementation. With the guidance and financial support of the Office of
Commonwealth Libraries, PaILS was founded in June, 2011 as a non-profit
organization to provide a collaborative, high quality, open source
integrated library system that is equitable, cost-effective and promotes
resource sharing among libraries statewide. PaILS is governed by a 9-member
Board of Directors that receives recommendations for development and
policies from a 16-member Advisory Council. Advisory Council members
represent libraries of all types, sizes and locations. The SPARK User Group
members make recommendations and inform the Advisory Council. PaILS has a
full time Executive Director and part time SPARK Coordinator on staff.
If your organization would like to obtain the RFP, please contact:
