[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] How do you package books for shipping?

Indiana has an established resource sharing mechanism (INfoExpress). We
use something similar to these http://www.bagproducts.com/CB04.html.
They're a durable nylon with zipper. Some of them are over a decade old
(you can tell because the old resource sharing mechanism is branded on
them). The zippers are held closed by a zip tie that runs through a
grommet. We also prepare whatever materials to minimize damage. A/V
materials get an extra layer of padding (cardboard, bubble-wrap or the
like) and books get rubberbanded. We've experienced only rare instances of
damage generally associated with moisture. Although the body of the bags
are waterproof/resistant, there is access for water at the grommet.
