The last Documentation Interest Group (DIG) meeting was held on Thursday,
Jan. 9. Unfortunately, it was very sparsely attended. Because of that and
the need to have more voices, we hope to have another meeting fairly soon.
You can view that Jan. 9 agenda
here.<http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:dig_meeting_20140109-agenda>
We were unable to discuss several of these topics because of the low
attendance. If you would like to attend this meeting, please indicate your
availability using the linked Doodle poll.

Some things to note:
- DIG is not a committee or board. It's a group of people who are
interested in creating and maintaining the documentation for the Evergreen
ILS. As you know, new features are being developed all the time and older
features are being updated. It's very important to have current
documentation so that end users can effectively and efficiently make use of
Evergreen.

- DIG meetings are held in the #evergreen channel of IRC. If you don't
know what this means, PLEASE ask. There's no reason for unfamiliarity with
IRC to prevent you from participating when there are many people pleased to
help you and enthusiastic for your participation.

- There are people throughout the Evergreen universe who would be wonderful
contributors to Evergreen documentation but who are untapped because
they've not been engaged or empowered to participate in Evergreen outside
of their library, library system, or consortium. If you know of such a
person, please facilitate their participation. Evergreen, as an open
source initiative, is dependent on community participation and contribution
for the production of a quality, sustainable ILS. If you are in a
management or supervisory role, please look around you for those
un-utilized or under-utilized resource people.
