Hi Gordana,

Hopefully this wasn't too presumptuous on my part but I added your patron upload info as a note to the EFA page. It's a really important option that shouldn't be forgotten. Also, having the possibility of an "easy" solution to one of the issues, may get us around to tackling it sooner than later?

Unfortunately, they weren't in a position to make it open source. But I wonder if it's something that many institutions are interested in, that they would be willing to work with the libraries to create a piece based on what they did that would be freely available with Evergreen? We import patron info nightly and it's pretty much seamless. I don't really worry about it and am happy with what it does.

Hi Kelly,
Another item to add to the list of issues is support for patron record loading.  We have developed scripts to load new and update on-file records, but a user-friendly interface similar to vandelay would streamline the process.  Some of our college staff would also like to manage record loading themselves.

We load student records frequently.  Some colleges provide one file at the beginning of each semester, but our community colleges provide weekly files for several weeks before and after the start of each semester.  I load 300-400 files each year for the 10 academic institutions in our consortium.
