[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] About Evergreen OPAC for Mobile Devices

Hi Tony,

After talking to our member libraries, here at NOBLE we decided to remove quite a few of the fields being displayed on the Items Checked Out page for Mobile. We added a few mobile only divs and made some CSS changes to the page so everything we found relevant was on the page. See attached image from my iPhone. We haven’t put much work into the Holds or My List yet. We hope to take similar action on those pages.

We’d be glad to share our changes with the community. However since we removed many of the fields that display we weren’t sure if other libraries would be happy with our approach.

Suzanne

I was going to file a bug report, but wanted to check-in first and see if anyone had experienced these issues and had a workaround, update, etc.

There may have been some interfaces that we missed, but if there is any screen that isn't displaying well on a mobile device, I recommend filing a bug in Launchpad at https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen <https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen> to let the developers know. There's a nice blog post about the project at http://evergreen-ils.org/hackaway13-mobile-catalog/ <http://evergreen-ils.org/hackaway13-mobile-catalog/>.

For the purposes of this standard, requirements of applying to Web pages equally applying to device-based mobile applications screens, such as Web Experience Toolkit (WET4)?
