[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Circulation history for patrons?

Hi Jennifer,

There is the ability to keep Check Out History, as you previously found.
This ability to see Patron Check Out History is not available in the staff
client, as it is a privacy concern otherwise. Only patrons logged in
through their OPAC account can see this information if they choose to
opt-in.

Individually, patrons can actively choose to keep a record of their check
out history through My Account > Account Preferences > Search and History
Preferences tab. To save a history of the checked out items, the checkbox
beside "Keep history of checked out items?" must be checked, or selected.
If the patron deselects this checkbox and then saves, it will erase any
previously saved history. If the patron opts-in to save their check-out
history, the history will only start from the point of opt-in and onwards.

Jennifer, you asked a universal ON switch, which is somewhat possible. To
modify this across all patrons, you would need to go to Admin > Server
Administration > Global Flags.

You may have noticed that there is also an option for Holds History, which
Lise mentioned. "Holds History" can be viewed under the "Holds" tab. The
location of where to manage Holds History is the same as Check Out History.
In this case, "Keep history of holds?" would be the respective checkbox in
Account Preferences > Search and History Preferences. Modifying Holds
History would likewise involve Admin > Server Administration > Global Flags.
