Hello Evergreen Community!

On behalf of the 2016 Evergreen International Conference Planning Committee, we are pleased to announce that registration<https://evergreen-ils.org/conference/eg16/registration/> is now open for the 2016 conference<https://evergreen-ils.org/conference/eg16/> in Raleigh. Join us as we celebrate Evergreen's 10th year anniversary! The conference will be held at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel<https://evergreen-ils.org/venuehotel-reservations/>, in the heart of downtown, within easy walking distance to dozens of restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, museums and more. As you stroll through downtown Raleigh, you will find some of the best dining in the South, including some landmark local favorites such as southern barbecue, and 18 craft breweries. Conference activities include dine-arounds, pub crawl, a visit to the celebrated NCSU Hunt Library and much more.

Jason Hibbets<https://evergreen-ils.org/conference/eg16/keynote-speaker-jason-hibbets/>, Red Hat's Community Manager for Opensource.com and the author of The Foundation For an Open Source City<http://www.amazon.com/foundation-open-source-city/dp/1300923172/ref=sr_1_1_twi_pap_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1447441698&sr=8-1&keywords=the+foundation+for+an+open+source+city> will be the keynote speaker. Jason applies open source principles in neighborhood organizations in Raleigh, highlighting the importance of transparency, collaboration and community building.

The Conference will kick off with an all-day Development Hackfest and three half-day pre-conference sessions, including:

- "Making the Most of Evergreen Reports" explores the design of the reports interface and how you can select and join together the best sources for your libraries' reporting needs,

- "SQL for Humans" takes you through practical reports while highlighting tasks that are easier to do with SQL access than in the report,

- "Mashcat in Evergreen" aims to bridge the communications gap that has sometimes gotten in the way of building the best tools we possibly can to manage library data as stored in Evergreen.
The Program Committee is still accepting presentation proposals for the conference. Some great submissions have already been submitted. There is plenty of room for more. As you are registering for the conference, think about topics or projects you work on and consider presenting on them. You never know who may benefit from your hard work.
