Unless you are running Debian Sid, or perhaps some Debian-derived distro 
with which I am not familiar, a simple apt-get upgrade should never 
change the version of your Apache beyond adding bug fixes.  On mainline 
Debian and Ubuntu releases, package versions do not change.
