[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Heads up for Angular translators

Hi Bill,

I have two questions about Angular translations

1) Would it be possible to provide some feedback like comments or
explanation to strings containing variables or part of code (preferably
right in Poeditor) which part of the string to translate and which not. It
seems obvious , that the parts in quotation marks should not be translated,
but in some cases I guess it applies not only to the parts enclosed in
quotation marks.
E. g. in the string:
*Error generating print content for template name="<ph
name="INTERPOLATION"><ex>{{**name}}</ex>{{name}}</ph>" / id="<ph
name="INTERPOLATION_1"><ex>{{**id}}</ex>{{id}}</ph>" *
I suppose the
*name=*
is part of the code too and only the
*Error generating print content for template*
should be translated (but I would like to be sure about it ;-) )

By the way, I would really appreciate having some information about the
context of the string (e.g. translation of the „order“ might be different
depending on whether it is used in the acquisition or for hold management).
In Launchpad, the context may be partly derived from the template in which
the string is located, but such a possibility is not available in Poeditor.

2) The second question is more about the Peoditor function or interface
As a "contributor" (which is the standard translator's role in the
Poediotr) I don't have an opportunity to copy the English string to
translation field by one click (as it is possible in Launchpad). Such a
feature is widely used and is quite useful, especially in cases when string
contains white spaces, variables etc. It is cumbersome to copy and paste
the original string to the translation field, because a lot of unwanted
characters or white spaces or parts of the interface are copied to the
translation field with the string.
In the POEditor Knowledge base I have found the following information :
*Contributors do not have access to the Copy Terms to Translations feature,
but they can ask the project owner or an administrator to do this *(see the
https://poeditor.com/kb/how-to-copy-strings-to-empty-translation-boxes)
Would it be possible to have copied the original string to translation
field if the string contains variables or part of the code?

Thanks
Eva
