Kate, Speaking as someone who used to budget for face-to-face conferences, I would do a ballpark budget of $2500 to include hotel, transportation, registration, and food. A lot depends on when flights are booked. And whether registration is early bird or not. Between lodging, flights, and per diem, I'm up to $2,500 already and that doesn't include conference registration yet (hotel is understandably pricier in the Seattle area)!
