Galen, you mentioned some kind of online voting mechanism a while ago. A mechanism like that can't be put in place and advertised in time for next week, I'm sure. That said, if there were a way for people, who cannot attend the conference, to send in a proxy ballot then I would be in favor of a simple up/down vote including submitted proxy ballots at annual conventions.

And, what constitutes approval...more voters who say yea than nay?I'd suggest that a majority of approvals by those who cast a vote would carry it for each candidate. It is of course unlikely that approval would be withheld for any of the three candidates, but if that happens, I suppose the follow-up would be calling another round of nominations for the unfilled positions.Regards,Galen--Galen CharltonDirector of Support and ImplementationEquinox Software, Inc. / The Open Source Expertsemail: gmc at esilibrary.comdirect: +1 770-709-5581cell: +1 404-984-4366skype: gmcharltweb: http://www.esilibrary.com/Supporting Koha and Evergreen: http://koha-community.org & http://evergreen-ils.org_______________________________________________eg-oversight-board mailing listeg-oversight-board at list.evergreen-ils.orghttp://list.evergreen-ils.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/eg-oversight-board
