[Evergreen-catalogers] Shelf-ready items

We are a consortium that recently migrated to Evergreen and are using the most current version (EG Gold). One of our libraries would like to start getting 'shelf-ready' items from its vendors. Is anyone familiar with this? Would the MARC records be loaded with holdings? Is it as simple as setting up a holdings import profile for the vendor to follow?



We already have several OCLC members who create items using a 945 tag in OCLC so I did profiles for that and I load their bibs/items into our database. I also plan to load items from a Winnebago system into EG where no bibs will be added, just items and have set up profiles for that. Recently I did a profile to load MARCIVE bibs/items and was successful after that vendor was aware of the need to be sure that all item fields were entered correctly as to capitalization and spacing.
