Yes, indeed. In a pre-TPAC context, however, implementing this would
entail some more work to make it look at the MODS <form
authority="smd"> element in addition to the <typeOfResource> element.
The former draws from the 007/00-01 while the latter draws only from
the Leader/06-07.
Recent version of Evergreen define a 'vr_format' attribute that's
based on the 007/04 for videos, and that would be even more specific
than the video SMD.
However, having easy access to the SMDs for templating and search
filtering could be handy; it would be straightforward to add attribute
definitions for the SMD for all categories of materials, or to add a
definition that captures the 007/00-01.
