[Evergreen-catalogers] 700s under 600s

All,

I too have a small laundry list of "out of the box" PAC display issues

   - Alternate Title fields (740, 240, 246) are indexed, but don't appear
   on our PAC display.
   - The "Immediate Source of Acquisitions" note field (541) does display,
but it should be a staff only field. Really, it should not even appear on
   the public MARC display.
   - We are part of a consortium and our institutions have electronic
titles that are only available to them. When the $w and $9 subfields are
added to the "Electronic Location and Access" field (856) to suppress
visibility, it actually hides it from the catalogers in Staff PAC because
we log on at the consortium level and not the institutional level. Not
   good.
   - One thing that drives me crazy as a cataloger is being forced to
scroll down to see what the subjects are on a bib record, which is nearly
always the last entry at the very bottom of the screen. It's not good for
researchers either, because those subjects are key access points that are
used to point to additional research areas. In my opinion, there is way too
much white space between the Title area and the copy/item area. Personally
I want to see "record details" in this area.

I'm sure I could come up with a bunch more if I only had some spare time ;-)
