[Evergreen-catalogers] Authority records

Hello, we recently have had several questions from staff about customers not being able to find titles because the authorized form is different from what is on the cover/amazon.com.
So I’m curious what the current method is for dealing with this? Do you add 700 fields with the cover form? Do you index the 245c as an added author? Do you tell everyone to use the keyword search?
Examples:
Author search for “Pelzer, Dave” when the authorized form is “Pelzer, David J.”
Author search for “J. A. Jance” where the authorized form is “Jance, Judith A.”
I’m also curious if anyone knows of a plan to allow the 400 field data to be included in the non browse indices? Does anyone have opinions on how it should work? I’m toying with a quick script that just shoves the 400 data into the author index for linked personal name authorities. But I’m not sure if that is the correct approach.

I'm hoping to be able to learn something from any answers you received. We just implemented authority (using MARCive) for the first time in our consortium, and unfortunately, I'm pretty lost at HOW it's supposed to work, because it's nothing like authority catalogs I've used in the past. At the Evergreen pre-conference, there's a whole morning workshop about authorities, so I'm hoping to learn a lot that day.

Good Morning,
My library is just getting started importing authority records. My question is about searching. Once we’ve imported an authority record for an author we are able to browse the catalog and it shows the See references, however when we do an author search from the advanced search for a variant name from the 400 field of the authority record, we don’t get any hits. How do we get Evergreen to recognize the 400 fields in the authority records? Thank you.
