[OPEN-ILS-DEV] mod_placeholder.so not found in apache

I am using the document Installing Evergreen 1.2 on Ubuntu 7.10 to
install the evergreen server and other programs such as ejabbered,
OpenSrf. I am now at number 40. when i try to restart apache it gives
me the following error message " * Starting web server apache2
                                         Syntax error on line 4 of
/etc/apache2/httpd.conf:
Invalid command '/usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_placeholder.so', perhaps
misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server
configuration"

I have followed everything in the documentation and i believe this
error is the only factor stopping my progress. I am using Ubuntu 8.04
LTS Desktop Edition.
