For reference, we're not setting the 'from' attribute because Ejabberd
replaces the 'from' attribute with whatever user at host/resource a client is
connected with.  According to the Ejabberd changelog [1], it still verifies
and/or replaces the 'from' attribute when it reliably can, but there are
some scenarios (not encountered by OpenSRF) where it can't.

I've committed some changes to the Perl and C code in OpenSRF trunk to set
the 'from' attribute on outbound messages.
