Yes, I believe it would be helpful. Thanks Bill!

Is there a way to have a new brief order record show up as a
search result in the Staff Client search of the catalogue, of course
with the appropriate status e.g. "On Order" etc.

If the brief record is on order and has been imported, it will show up
in searches.

drop down "Actions" listing with "Load Bibs and Items" option (doesn't
work yet for me with no error returned). Also, I assume Acquisitions >
Title Search should be doing a search of current order records across
all selection lists (not working in our install with no errors returned
in the client).

"Load Bibs and Items" currently only works with purchase orders. I take
it importing bib records directly from a selection list should also be
an option?

Title Search searches the local catalog and configured Z39.50 sources.
Its purpose is to locate new bib records for creating orders and
selection lists. There will be a separate interface for searching
existing lineitems (AKA bib records).
