[OPEN-ILS-DOCUMENTATION] introducing ourselves

Good morning, all. 

 

I'm Rob Lindsey, Web Administrator for the South Carolina State Library.
I'm a member of the SC LENDS SysAdmin Group. I attended the Evergreen
International Conference and was impressed by the whole thing
(specifically the documentation session!). I'm looking forward to
helping out however I can.

 

In our initial testing days, we tried bringing up an Evergreen test
server on a local machine in the State Library and found the
installation instructions woefully inadequate and incomplete. I'd like
to see better documentation for server setup, and I think that would
lower the barrier of adoption for folks who are on the fence about
moving to Evergreen. 

 

I have a degree in English and a couple years experience copy/line
editing. And I have experience with XML (not DocBook specifically, but
I'm willing to learn). I should be able to help primarily with copy
editing and perhaps with a little markup. Just let me know!
