Hi George, that can be done with Vandelay (Cataloging -> MARC
Import/Export).  In the upload form where it says Select a Record
Source, you can have arbitrary sources be transcendent (Project
Gutenberg is a stock source with transcendence).  I'm not sure if
there is an interface for managing those sources yet, but in the
database they exist in config.bib_source.   The plan is to allow
source selection with other cataloging interfaces, so you could, for
example, change the source for an existing record.  That's not there
yet, but I imagine you could use Vandelay to re-import/overlay the
records you're interested in.
