[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Checkout Problem

Hi List,
Recently a slight problem has appeared in Evergreen in our library. 
When we are checking out items to a patron, after wanding in the Item Barcode, Evergreen will display the network error message, with the two option buttons of 'Ignore Errors' and 'Retry Network'.
If we click on the 'Retry Network' button the error screen will reappear every time. BUT if we click on the 'Ignore Error' button, the item will checkout to the patron normally without further error.
This happens for all items on all patrons.
We are running Evergreen 1.4.0.6 at present till next month when we upgrade to 1.6. Is there a way around and/or fixing this glitch?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
