Hi Bill,

Thanks for the response. Ben did some troubleshooting at this end and found
the fault was not in my settings but in our stars..er.tables? He posted
about it on Launchpad.

Thanks so much for getting back to me.

Mary

Hi Mary,

I can confirm you don't need a match set for 901c matching.

You are seeing a value in the "Import Failures" column in the grid view?
What do the failures say?

Also for reference, the Match Score for the matched bibs (clicking on
matches(...)) will show a value of 9999 when a match occurs via 901c.

I posted this on the catalogers' list, but the crickets are deafening. Maybe
someone on this list can help me?

Hi all,

I'm having trouble with what ought to be the simplest type of batch load. I
exported and edited a number of records and want to reload them with my
changes. I know I want to use "Merge on Exact Match (901c)", but I can't
seem to get the records to import. I've tried it with and without a Record
Match Set (I set one up matching only on the 901c when loading without a
Record Match Set didn't work). I used the Overlay/Merge Profile "Full
Overlay," which uses the 901c.

In all attempts at loading, the queue shows that the matching bib was found,
but I can't get the import/overlay to take place. There are 600 bibs in the
queue, and 600 Record Import Failures. I must be missing something, but am
at a loss at this point. This shouldn't be so hard.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Mary
