[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] ERROR when trying to "bill a patron"

All -

Why are we getting this error message??

!! This software has encountered an error.  Please tell your friendly system administrator or software developer the following:\npatron/bill_wizard.xul\nTypeError: billing_list.sort(function (a, b) {if (a.name() > b.name()) {return 1;}if (a.name() < b.name()) {return -1;}return 0;})[0] is undefined\n

And then when we say ok, we get this one too:

Please open a helpdesk ticket and include the following text:

Mon Oct 19 2015 15:29:04 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)

bill_wizard

What does this mean and how do we fix it??
